Over the British
Croesyceiliog Sunday morning, the weather was sunny but looked threatening. The Church of Jesus Christ and the latter day Saints was our new departure point. The route was along the cycle track through Pontypool and Pontnewenydd. A steep climb was taken on up the road toward Pantygasseg. The mountain road turns into a tough little track here, almost like rural mid Wales, with a terrible road surface and wet mists to match. It was a invigorating ride up to the 450 metre summit of the British Mountain. With a pitiful view at the top the descent to Abersychan was quickly taken. From here there was a new cycle track back to Pontypool to explore, this took us to the Pontypool Park, New Inn and then back along the old abandoned road to Croesyceiliog.
