Sunday morning, 08:00, and again the Bike Brothers had to battle against a bitter, easterly wind. The ride was to take us out to New Inn, Glascoed and Monkswood. The climb up Rumble Street was a nice warm up as was the ride out on the wintry lanes to Croes Llanfair. There were still quite a few cyclists out braving the cold as the wind aided us on the main road back to Usk. The fast ruleur was enjoyable and then there was a nice climb up to the Lakeside golf-course, near Coed y paen. After dropping down to Glascoed the ride was finished off via New Inn and the old abandoned road to Croesyceiliog where we called in to see our Mother to celebrate Mother's day....42 km with 545 metres of ascent.
