A CLUBMAN'S RIDE TO TRELLECH GRANGE.

27.2.11

Nine o'clock Sunday morning and Spring was still making its mind up if it was on its way or not. The weather was dry however and our ride started off up the Trehebert road and over the steep climb of Croesyllywarch, over the river Usk and then the very quiet and tranquil lane from Llantrisant to Llangwm was taken with great joy. Cobbler's plane is always a good ascent and before long the roller coaster path took us to Trellech Grange. From here lunch was eaten along the tree lined road to Llanishen. A rainy fast downhill to Llansoy and a ride to Monkswood  via Usk saw a puncture repair for myself. The ride to New Inn through Glascoed  was a pleasant finish to the ride, even though I had another puncture on the old abandoned road....36 miles.
