An Indian Summer made our Sunday morning ride a good one to our classic Whitecastle. After the last two rough stuff rides in the mountains it made a change to be back on our lightweight machines. We took our usual route to Usk and Llandenny, up and around the back of Raglan castle and then along the narrow leafy sweet smelling lanes that meandered through the cider apple orchards to Llantilio Croessenny. The rough track that followed Offa's Dyke was taken until we reached Whitecastle. A brisk pace was then set back to Usk via Llanarth before riding back on our Traditional route home via Prescoed, Coed-y-Paen and the Trehebert Rd....45 miles.
