We left Croesyceiliog at 07:00, before the streets were properly aired. After the exertions of our camping trip the week before it was time to take in an old classic! Through the beautiful early morning aromas of Glascoed a fast ride was taken to Usk. We stocked up in the local shop and then headed out along the lanes through Llandenny, Raglan and then out on to the mediaeval paths toward Whitecastle. The hedges surrounding us with their glory it was a quick fast ride to Llantilio Croessenny. From here we made our way up the Offa’s Dyke track to the castle where we stopped for breakfast. After cycling back through Llanarth we were stopped by the police as the British road race championship sped past. After viewing the cyclist for approx 5 seconds they disappeared into the distance. From here we took what is now becoming our usual route home via Croes Llanfair, Goytre and joining the canal at Mamilhad....42 miles.
